John Kingston had a successful playing career, including with the England B team, before a knee injury forced him to retire from the game in 1987. He then began coaching at Richmond, where he worked with the U21 side before moving on to coach the First XV.
John joined the coaching team at Harlequins in the summer of 2001. Having had a successful stint as the team's forwards coach, John was appointed head coach in May 2008.
